Consoling the Heart of Jesus book review

I highly recommend a book I read recently. The book is Consoling the Heart of Jesus - A Do-It-Yourself Retreat by Michael E. Gaitley, MIC.
The author blends Ignatian spirituality with St. Teresa of Lisieux, St. Louis de Montfort, Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, St. Margaret Mary Alocoque, St. Faustina Kowalska and others.
Consoling the Heart of Jesus tells us how to do exactly that. First of all, Gaitley says we console the heart of Jesus by trusting him in all we do, say, and pray. We are to trust in and accept God's merciful love. We think about the comfort we can give our Lord instead of what we get.
We console Jesus during His Passion by our repentance and acts of mercy toward others. We console Him for all those who have turned away from Him or are indifferent to His love. We console Jesus by meditating on his passion through the Divine Mercy Chaplet and novena.
Next, we acknowledge the inadequate efforts to love Jesus as much as He deserves, so we take Mary with us as we pray. She will add her prayers to ours to make them a pleasing consolation to God.
This book will give you new insights into prayer. May it be as much of a blessing to you as it was for me.
